This is a Guest Post by my Daughter, Jessica.

Has anybody noticed how superficial and judgemental the youth of today is?

Being a teenager myself I am surrounded by it every day of the week. Why do people feel the need to follow the crowd, and judge those who dare to differ?

Just the other day one of my own friends called me 'a pathetic excuse for a girl' because I like motorbikes and cars. Yes, I may like motorbikes, but I also like dresses, make-up and pink! Same as any other teenage girl.

And why do teenagers think that all adults should be hated - especially teachers? I happen to find a lot of my teachers very interesting people. I find myself preferring to spend my time with adults rather than with people my own age.

What about all this size zero business. This I really cant understand. Two words - ROAST DINNER!!!

And my last point - SMILE! Its not difficult. If I pass somebody in the street my own age and smile at them they look at me like I'm a crazy person! Whats wrong with spreading a little happiness?
